During AEP, the following changes can be made, which take effect Jan. 1st :

Part D Prescription Drug Plans:

  • Change to a different Part D Plan or enroll into a Part D Plan for the first time
  • If no changes are made, your Part D RX Drug Plan automatically renews with timely payment. NOTE: premium, deductible, and copay amounts may change, even if your meds have not.

Part C Medicare Advantage (M.A.) Plans:

  • Change from 1 M.A. plan to a different Plan type or to a different M.A. Company
  • Disenroll from an M.A. Plan and move to Original Medicare and a Medicare Supplement (must pass Underwriting)

Medicare Supplement Plans:

  • Review other Medicare Supplement Companies that may offer a lower premium for the same type of plan (must pass underwriting)
  • Review M.A. Plan options (benefits and networks have enhanced dramatically in some areas over the last few years)
  • If you are satisfied with your Medicare Supplement Plan, you don’t need to do anything. It automatically renews with timely payment.

You can disregard this letter if:

  • You don’t want to make changes this year
  • You have already been in contact with one of my agent colleagues. If that agent is taking care of this for you, we ask that you don’t send your info to be reviewed twice.
